Art Print 'BONsai VOYAGE'

The traditional Asian elements: Bonsai and Fuji mountain, together with the setting sun and flowerpot creates the delusion of a skull, with a camera lens as the right eye. An silver-hair couple are sitting idle on the tree, enjoying the beautiful view.

The artwork is a remix of traditional ukiyo-e woodcut style and modern surrealism vision, as well as eastern and western imagery. Titled 'BONsai VOYAGE' with a word play of 'BON VOYAGE', as the human face hallucination only exists at this very exact moment, next second the bonsai drifts away to keep on going its journey, and the face disappears therewith.

The artwork is inspired by CAMERA JAPAN movie festival 2014's theme 'J-dreams', also applied as the poster visual for the festival.
